This tool is most useful as a fast browser utility: generate tones or noise, check whether a signal is present, audition channel routing, and watch how the browser output behaves in the built-in visualizers. Use it for quick checks and rough listening, not for precision measurement.
1. Browser Output Visualizers
The oscilloscope and spectrum view reflect the signal generated inside this browser audio graph. They are useful for understanding what the page is producing, but they are not measurement-grade analyzers for your full signal chain.
2. Gain Presets and Listening Checks
The -18dB, -20dB, and SAFE buttons are convenience presets for browser output level only. They are helpful for repeatable listening checks, but they do not replace calibrated line-up tones through a known hardware path.
Common Troubleshooting Checklist:
- Stereo testing: Use Left and Right isolation for a quick routing sanity check.
- Polarity check: Use Invert Right and listen for obvious mono cancellation or odd stereo behavior.
- Sweep listening: Run a sweep and listen for obvious rattles, resonances, or dead spots. This is a listening aid, not a frequency-response measurement.
